Inclusion Commitment v1.3

Last Updated: April 24, 2026

1. Our Commitment to Inclusion

Divyaability Foundation is built on the foundation of equal opportunity. We believe that the internet should be available and accessible to anyone, and we are committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of circumstance and ability.

To fulfill this, we aim to adhere as strictly as possible to the World Wide Web Consortium’s (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 (WCAG 2.1) at the AA level. These guidelines explain how to make web content accessible to people with a wide array of disabilities.

2. Assistive Technology Support

Our website is designed to be compatible with the following popular assistive technologies:

Screen Readers

Full support for NVDA, JAWS (Windows), VoiceOver (macOS/iOS), and TalkBack (Android). We use ARIA labels to ensure dynamic content is announced correctly.

Keyboard Navigation

The entire site can be navigated using only a keyboard. We provide visible focus indicators and "Skip to Main Content" links for efficient browsing.

3. Key Accessibility Features

  • Alt Text: All meaningful images on our Site include descriptive alternative text to help screen reader users understand the visual context.
  • Contrast Ratios: We ensure a high contrast ratio between text and background colors to make the content readable for people with low vision or color blindness.
  • Resizabe Text: Our Site allows users to increase the font size up to 200% without the text overlapping or the layout breaking.
  • Consistent Navigation: Navigation menus and links are structured consistently across all pages to ensure a predictable user experience.
  • Forms: All input fields are clearly labeled, and error messages are provided in a way that assistive technologies can detect and read them.

4. Compliance with Indian Law

Legal Alignment: Our accessibility efforts are in full alignment with the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 (India), which mandates that all public and private sector services provide equal access to information and technology.

5. Known Limitations

Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility of the Divyaability Site, there may be some limitations. In some cases, third-party content (like embedded maps or social media feeds) may not be fully optimized. We are constantly working with our partners to improve these aspects.

6. Feedback & Contact Information

We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of Divyaability Foundation’s website. If you encounter any barriers while using our platform, please let us know immediately so we can fix them.
